First 2024 Presidential Debate
Following are various thoughts I had in he days before and after the first presidential debate of the 2024 election cycle. It was hosted by CNN and held on June 27, 2024. Many references are included at the end of this article for further study.
Debate Gaslighting
In tonight’s debate, Trumps claims of fraud in the 2020 election is sure to be brought up by the bias moderators and by Biden, as will the events of January 6, 2021. Trump most certainly will not be given time to fully answer their objections, with the three on one format of the debate.
However, don’t let Biden and the CNN moderator gaslight you into accepting there were no irregularities in that election and that J6 was a “deadly insurrection incited by Trump.” You can get the full story and truth of these events in my series of books about them: The 2020 Election, the January 6 “Insurrection,” and Their Aftermath

Biden Debate Gaslighting
Biden will lie about his record tonight in the debate, claiming he inherited 9% inflation, an open border, a failed plan for the Afghan withdrawal, among other lies. The bias CNN moderators will not call him out on those lies, and the three on one format will not give Trump sufficient time to do so. Pitiful
I listened to the first half hour of the debate last night on C-Span’s app as I was getting ready for bed. And I must say, it was hard to listen to. Biden reminded me of my dear departed grandpa in the early days of his Alzheimer’s Disease (AD).
The family knew he was struggling cognitively, though he had not yet been diagnosed with AD. But we learned to be patient with him, as he slowly spoke his words and struggled to maintain his train of thought. And we just ignored it when he would start to talk about one subject then inexplicitly veer into another. It was heartbreaking to watch, and more so as his AD worsened.
I would have the same heartbroken feeling for Biden, if he were just another elderly man with developing AD. But he is not. He is and wants to remain the Leader of the Free World. He clearly is not up to the task. I called months ago for him to be removed via the 25th Amendment, and that is more urgent now. At the very least, the DNC needs to wise up and remove Biden as its nominee, not just for the Democrat Party’s sake but for the country’s sake.
Trump summed it up well when after Biden mumbled at the end of one of his time periods, when Trump said, “I don’t really know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don’t think he knows.”

Biden Lie of the Night
I predicted Biden would lie his way though the debate, and I was proven correct. But I never thought he would tell such a whopper as to claim no US servicemen or women had died under his watch. That is an absolute insult to the 13 Gold Star Families who lost loved ones in Biden’s Afghan withdrawal debacle.
It’s possible Biden’s just does not remember that debacle given his cognitive struggles. But more likely, he thought he could get away with that massive and despicable lie since that debacle was almost two years ago. But we remember it, and those Gold Star Families most certainly do. My heart goes out to them. I cannot imagine how hurt and slighted they must have felt when Biden told that lie.

Dozen Biden Debate Lies
Biden repeated a dozen lies about Trump and himself and his policies during the debate. Most of those lies Biden has made previously, but I have previously refuted them in my various writings. Below is a list of those dozen lies, followed by the truth and a link to an article or book or two in which I refuted that lie.
1. Biden’s Lie: Trump called our military personal “Losers and Suckers” lie.
The Truth: Trump never said any such thing.
2. Biden’s Lie: Trump called white supremacists “good people” in The Charlottesville in 2017.
The Truth: Trump specifically said he was not referring to white supremacists and the like with that comment.

3. Biden’s Lie: Trump told Americans to inject bleach.
The Truth: Trump’s comments were not wise, but they were directed towards medical researchers not the public.

4. Biden’s Lie: Border has fewer crossings now than under Trump.
The Truth: Trump brought down the surge of border crossings to very low levels. Biden rescinded most all of Trum[p’s policies that effected that drop leading to record border crossings under Biden.

5. Biden’s Lie: Trump and the GOP want to get rid of Social Security.
The Truth: Neither Trump nor any GOP wants to cut SS. But they do want to take steps to be sure it remains solvent.

6. Biden’s Lie: Billionaires only pay 8.2% in taxes/ Don’t pay their fair share.
The Truth: Biden consistently lies about the amount the rich actually pay and their seemingly lower effective tax rate being due to the tax code he helped to write.

7. Biden’s Lie: Biden “created” 15 million jobs.
The Truth: The vast majority of those jobs were just jobs returning after the medically useless and destructive lockdowns ended. Others are illegal aliens taking jobs or are senior citizens or people taking second jobs to make ends meet due to Bidenflation.

8. Biden’s Lie: Trump’s policies caused inflation, but his (Biden’s) policies are bringing prices down.
The Truth: Inflation was 1.4% when Biden took office. Biden’s policies caused it to spike to 9.1%. The rate of increase has slowed, but prices are not coming down.

9. Biden’s Lie: He decreased insulin prices.
The Truth: Trump began the push to lower insulin prices, but the media did not report about it, as they were focuses on Trump’s claims of election fraud. Bu t I do in my book.

10. Biden’s Lie: Biden decreased the deficit.
The Truth: The deficit remains at a ridiculously high level.

11. Biden’s Lie: Trump’s tax cuts only benefit the rich/ Trump increased taxes on the middle class.
The Truth: Trump’s tax cuts benefit all taxpaying Americans.

12. The Biggest Biden Whopper: no US servicemen died under his watch.
The Truth: Thirteen of our brave servicemen and women died due to his Afghan debacle, and dozens of others were maimed.
