Impeachment 2.0

For the first impeachment of Trump, Democrats unitized a very unfair process in the House. Impeachment 2.0 will be even more unfair.

At the end of my three-volume set Dems Cannot Beat Trump, So They Impeach Trump, I discuss the possibility of an Impeachment 2.0. I said it was a real possibility, since Dems had not given up their hatred for and desire to remove President Trump from office. But I said if there were an Impeachment 2.0, it would not be covered in that trilogy.

But now, less than a year later, House Dems have begun talk of that Impeachment 2.0. I will cover what happens in that regard in my forthcoming book on the 2020 election and its aftermath. But in the meantime, it would be good to remember the very unfair process that was conducted in the House in the first impeachment. It was a rushed process, with no regard to due process and the presumption of innocence that are bedrocks of our judicial systems.

But this Impeachment 2.0 will be even worse. There will be no hearings, not debate, just a vote. That would mean, there would be absolutely no due process whatsoever granted to the President.

If the reader is thinking, “But the President is obviously guilty,” then you need to read my “Impeach” trilogy. I explain repeatedly in those volumes that the accused, each and every accused in America has the right to a presumption of innocence and the right to due process. That includes the right to present a defense. I also warned about the dangers of the loss of such.

Think about it. How would you like it if you were accused of a crime but given no chance to defend yourself? You were just assumed to be guilty and that was that. Would that be fair? Of course not.

But a vote to impeach the President without any such due process rights would put us toward a country where “political enemies” could be convicted without any ability for them to defend themselves. Do you really want to live in such a country? Before you answer, know that you could be next.

What would be Trump’s defense? I will answer that question in depth in my forthcoming book on the 2020 election and its aftermath. It will include a detail discussion on the Capital Building uprising and its aftermath and many more related issues.

In the meantime, Volume One and Volume Two of my Impeach trilogy cover the very unfair process in the House in the first impeachment. Volume Three has been delayed, due to me working on the 2020 election book. I’ve just been going crazy keeping up with all that has been happening the last few weeks for that book. But I hope to have Volume Three available shortly, then my election 2020 book shortly thereafter. But get the first two volumes for background to these two.
