With all that happened on my birthday on Monday (see Mom went to be with the LORD), I didn’t get to open my presents and cards until Tuesday evening.
The first is a present to myself. I got fed up with my cheap tablets, so I bought myself one good one: a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8” tablet. I got it on sale, as the S3 will be coming out soon. But I am more than happy with the S2, as it works great. One new app I downloaded to it was an Audio Bible (NKJV). I have been listening to it each morning as I eat breakfast. The sound quality of the S2 is just fine for speech, and listening to the Bible is an uplifting way to start the day. The S2 is available at Amazon.
I then had my parents get me a case + Bluetooth keyboard for it: a Fintie Blade X1, also available from Amazon. The keyboard was easy to connect and is easy to type on. The case works great for when using the keyboard, but not so much otherwise. I thus had my parents get me a different case for general protection of the tablet: a KIQ (TM) Heavy Duty Hybrid, also available at Amazon. It consists of both a case and a screen protector. It was very inexpensive but works well.
Otherwise, my parents got me new sheets for my daybed and a couple of salt shakers, yes salt shakers. I wanted these as they have lids on them to keep moisture and other contaminants out of the salt. My parents also got me a “super curl bar,” but I will hold off on a picture and comments upon it for a planned article on “Yet More New Gym Equipment.” But also in the pictures are cards form my parents and my brother and his wife.
