Newsletter News
This issue of Darkness to light newsletter will be a bit different. In it, I will be presenting updates and short pieces on various items from the past couple of months rather than one major article. This issue is also a bit late due to finishing the first item mentioned, but the last to be completed. I will get back to running one major article next time.
Scripture Workbook: Third Edition
For Personal and Group Bible Study and Teaching the Bible
The doctrinal and ethical teachings of the Bible as presented in this book encompass an overall way of viewing the world that differs greatly from the prevailing secular worldview. It is hoped this book will enable the reader to not only understand this Biblical worldview but also why it is true and thus to come to trust in it, and then to be prepared to defend this Biblical worldview before an unbelieving world (Matt 28:18-20; Luke 24:27,45; Acts 14:14-18; 17:22-31; 1Peter 3:15). For ordering details, click here.
Many changes were made for this Third Edition, but the total number of forty Scripture Studies remains the same. This is a large book (518 pages in hardcopy formats), but if you take the time to work through it, you will be well-versed in the entirety of the Biblical worldview (2Tim 2:15; 3:16f). Yet it is just $3.99 in Kindle (#ad). Similar low prices for other formats.

Bible in a Year Update
In the first issue of this newsletter this year, published on New Year’s Day 2023, I ran a short article titled, Happy New Year! The Bible in a Year! In it I urged my readers to join me in reading or listening to the entire Bible in 2023. I began listening to it on that day, and I finished it on October 15, 2023, just 10-1/2 months into the year.
More specifically, that was the 288th day of 2023 (Date Calculator). In my just released Scripture Workbook: Third Edition I cite the following statistics:
9) The Bible in a Year:
1,189 – Number of chapters in the Bible.
3.25 – Chapters to read per day to read the Bible in a year.
70 – Hours it would take to read the Bible aloud.
11.5 – Minutes per day it would take to listen to the Bible in a year (p.36).
I did a bit more each day. Doing the math, I listened to on average 4.13 chapters per day or for 14.5 minutes per day. I am reporting this not to brag but to try to encourage the reader to listen to or read the Bible each day. If you are consistent in doing so, you can get through it quite easily in a year or less. And your spiritual state will be better for it.

Israel-Hamas War Articles
I just updated an article I wrote 6-1/2 years ago. It gives perspective and background to the current Israel- Hamas War. It is: Tiny Israel: Amidst a Massive Sea of #Muslim Lands.
Israel-Hamas War (Israel Must Eradicate Hamas, Just As the USA Did with Al Qaeda After 9/11) is a new article on my #Christian and #politics websites. Israel has a right to exist and to defend itself against antisemitic barbarism.
Hamas Fantasy, IDF Reality (Gaza Hospital Attack) is a new article on my #Christian and #politics websites. The despicable media’s misinformation about the Gaza hospital attack led to riots across the world.
For more on the religion that undergirds the thought of Hamas, see my Islam pages:

How Were the Books of the Bible Chosen?
Christians claim the Bible is the Word of God, that it is the final authority in all matters relating to Christian faith and practice, and that it is absolutely reliable in all that it teaches. But to put such confidence in the Bible requires that the correct books are in the Bible. But are they? Why are the 66 books in the Bible in the Bible, and why were other books that could have been included not included?
This subject is very important but also complicated, so complicated that it takes three volumes to fully cover it. That is done in my newly updated three-volume set Why Are These Books in the Bible and Not Others?
Volume One studies the books included in the Old Testament (OT) and considers other books that could have been included in it but were not. Volume Two covers the books included in the New Testament (NT). Volume Three looks at the writings of the Apostolic Fathers, some of which were seriously considered for inclusion in the NT. It also investigates other writings that many wonder why they are not included in the NT.
The price for the Kindle versions of these three books is just $3.99 each. That means, you can purchase all three books for less than $12.00. See How Were the Books of the Bible Chosen? (3 book series) (#ad). The costs of the other formats are similarly low priced. Follow this link for those other formats.

Webpage Counts
It has been a while since I counted the number of webpages on my various websites. The webpage counts are as follows:
Darkness to Light Christian Ministry: 1,208 webpages
Fitness for One and All: 1,038 webpages
Biblical and Constitutional Politics: 319 webpages
Zeolla.org (my personal website): 3 webpages
The last is mainly a “gateway” to the other three. That is why there are a couple of pages on it besides the home page. But altogether, that is 2,569 webpages, all free for the reading.
I did
these counts as I was doing many “under the hood” updates to my websites, in an
effort to increase traffic and the amount of time visitors spend on the sites.

New Website!
Coronavirus Fearmongering on the Left, Covid-19 Lies on the Right
A Layman’s View of What the Authorities Got Correct and Incorrect about the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.
By Gary F. Zeolla
Most of the articles and commentaries posted on this new website were originally posted on a Coronavirus section of my politics website. I was going to redo those items into a book. However, I realized it would be difficult and time consuming to reformat all of that information into a book. But I wanted to make it more accessible than just as section on that website. Consequently, I decided to move that material to its own website. That was easier and quicker to do than a book.
The articles and commentaries on this website are listed in chronological order (oldest on top, newest on bottom). In this way, the reader can follow the chronology of the pandemic and the evolution of my thoughts thereupon, from being a Covid-denier to recognizing the seriousness of Covid-19 and the need for the vaccines for high-risk groups.

My Social Sites Update
Facebook: www.Facebook.com/GZeolla
Gettr: https://gettr.com/user/GZeolla
Truth Social: https://truthsocial.com/@GZeolla
X (formerly Twitter): https://twitter.com/GZeolla
I am sure the reader has heard of the first and last of these sites, but you might not have heard of the other three. That is because they are newer sites that were developed by conservatives in reaction to the other two “shadow banning” conservatives.
I might have been so shadow banned of late, though I am not sure. I just know there have been many times I have posted comments on Facebook or Twitter that I thought would bring a significant reaction, but nothing, no response whatsoever. But even if I haven’t already, I am sure to be so in the future, as those sites crack down on conservative speech.
That is why I set up accounts on Gab, Gettr, and Truth Social, to be sure I have a place to voice my opinions. These sites promise not to censor people’s comments, beyond what is required by law.
Note also, if the reader hasn’t figured it out by now, I’m not good at being concise in my writings. But by being so exhaustive, I thoroughly cover every topic I address. And if the reader peruses all of my writings on a given subject, you will be well-versed on the topic at hand.
But that is why I found the 280-character limit on Twitter to be quite restrictive, so I rarely posted to it. But after Elon Musk tool it over, renamed it X, and opened it so that “blue check” users could post messages of up to 2,500 characters, I went through the identity confirmation and paid the fee to get a blue check mark. Thus, I now post to X more often. Also, by getting the blue checkmark, I can edit posts and run advertisements on X.
Otherwise, Gettr has a 777-character limit, Truth Social a 1,000-character limit, Gab a 2,000-character limit, and Facebook has no such limits. I try to keep my posts below the lowest of these of 777 characters or at least below 1,000, so my messages are still not too wordy, and I can post the same message on all of these sites.
On my social pages, I ignore all comments and replies that utilize “foul” or indecent language. That means, if you reply to one of my posts using such language, I will not even read your comments, let alone respond to them. I also will not respond to ad hominem (personal) attacks.
Simply put, if you cannot respond to the substance of my post in a civil manner, without resorting to name-calling, personal attacks, or foul language, you will not get a response. And if my post is a link to one of my articles or books, then read that item before responding. If you do not, I will just refer you back to it, and that will be that.
These remarks about social media responses apply to emailed comments as well.
Finally, the items in the newsletter are adapted from posts I made in the above social media sites, hence the hashtags. I kept them for here as indications of the contents of the various items.

A
Two Month Update has been added to my
Squat Injury article. My right adductor is doing much better, but my left
adductor has been a bit problematic of late. That could be because I took the
proper steps immediately after I injured the former but not the latter.
